Two Years!!

I cant believe that we've been married for two years. We've been to so many cool places and done some wild things. Life is rarely dull with Nathan around. I was reading on a friends blog and she had these questions answered. I though it be fitting to answer them on mine since it has been a monumental week.

1. Where did you meet? At my house. I was setting up my best friend with one of his good friends and Nate tagged along. I guess you could say that we were the wing-men. We hung out at my house for a little while and then went and got ice cream at McDonald's.

2. What was the first thought that went through your head when you met? I thought it was funny that he was really excited to find out I was a chemistry major. He wanted to talk about school and I kind of though that he must be a dork. But that thought left my mind when he started casually bragging about going to school in Hawaii and being able to surf.

3. Do you remember what he was wearing? Probably a tee shirt and board shorts, but I do remember his incredibly cute surfer bleach blonde shaggy hair.

4. Where was the first time you kissed this person? We were at my friend apartment. He had picked me up from work. We watched a movie and then went out on the balcony to "talk". I was secretly hoping that he wold kiss me since we had been hanging out everyday for quite sometime. Anyway, for some reason we stood up to look at something and then next thing a knew he had pushed me up against the wall and kissed me. It was incredibly romantic at the time, but now thinking about it, it's pretty cheesy.

5. How did he ask you out? After we met, he got my number and called the next day (I still tease him that I swept him off his feet). He asked if I wanted to go on a hike later the week. I was was pumped. I also liked that when we hung out, we wnet and did stuff. I liked that he actually asked me out on dates and we didnt just sit around and hang out.

6. Where did you go for your first date? We got Subway sandwiches and hiked up a mountain at Snowbird ski resort. It was fun. I remember thinking, "Wow this guy is pretty smart. He could talk about anything and everything with intelligence and made it interesting." I did wear sandals which was foolish because there was still snow on top of the mountain. My toes were about to fall off as we hiked through the snow. I didn't want to complain because it was our first date and I already wanted a second date. So I sucked it up and eventually the snow was gone and I got to keep all ten toes.

7. How long did you know this person before you became a couple? I would say almost instantly. We went on our first date and hung out every day since then. We both joke that we had to speed date sine two months after we met he was leaving for NY to school and I was headed back to SUU.

8. Has this person ever proposed to you? Nate proposed on top of the mountain where we went on our first date. We snowboarded during the morning and then we took the tram to the top of the mountain. We looked out over the valley and then all of the sudden Nate was on his knee with this ring in his hand. I dont remember many details, Nate does, ask him.

9. Do you and this person have kids together? Not yet, but hopefully soon. We've got names picked out, does that count?

10. Have you ever broken the law together? I'll say no since family looks at this.

11. When was the first time you realized you liked this person? Right away, I know I'm totally lame. But I was having a pretty crappy day and week. The night we met he made me laugh and laugh, just by being goofy. I forgot how bad things seemed and just enjoyed being with him. On the way home that night, I was thinking, I've got to keep him around. Little did I know that I could never get rid of him!

12. Do you get along with this person ex's? I've never met any of then, but Im sure I would get along with them. I dont think I'm a jealous person. On the other hand, it's a good think that Nathan has never met any of mine. He still likes to believe he was the first person that I ever dated.

13. What's the most expensive thing this person has given you? My wedding ring. Its beautiful!!

14. What is the one thing this person does that gets on your nerves? He slurps his cereal and sometimes chews with his mouth open. YUCK!

15. What is the one thing you do that gets on his nerves? I'm sure there are lots of things, but he is pretty patient with me so I dont know if he would ever admit that something I do really bugs him.

16. Where do you see each other in 15 years from now? Hopefully in a home that we've bought. I dont know where we'll end up, but that doesn't matter. We may move around a bit. I would like to have children and spend my time with them and Nate. I would like to continue coaching and playing soccer. Nate would love to be off fishing and or hunting, just done manly things.
