Thanksgiving

Micah had a Thanksgiving lunch at his school.  His class sang a silly turkey song to the tune of "I'm a little teacup" .

See what Micah would choose for Thanksgiving dinner?
Thanksgiving started with a Beau melt down.  I bought the boys new shoes on Wednesday.  I didn't realize that Micah's shoes were light-up ones and Beau's were not (rookie mistake).  Micah put his on and started stomping around to light them up.  When I tried to put Beaus on he realized that his didn't light up and started to run after Micah to take them off his feet. After crying, screaming and lots of chasing, I decided that it wasn't worth the daily battle and I needed to go back to the store, take the "un-light up" ones back, and buy Beau some light up shoes.  The only store open at 9:00 on Thanksgiving was Wal-mart.  Beau wouldn't even put on his old ones to go into the store.  Luckily, there was one pair of light up shoes in his size.  We bought them and put on his feet.  He loves them.
We met friends at the park for our annual rugby game and then ate dinner with the Knackstedts.  My goal in life is to see how long I can go with out ever cooking a Thanksgiving dinner.

I love Thanksgiving.  I think because its so close to my birthday and it starts off the Christmas season.  I have so much to be thankful for.  My boys, Nathan, a job, a house, my health and good health for my family, great friends, my knowledge that I'm a daughter of God and that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and I proud of me.

The BIG Three-O

Found this gem on my porch. I am finally 30.
To celebrate my birthday i went to the midnight movie release of Breaking Down part 2.  Ive gone to a Twilight midnight movie for each of my last few birthdays (except New Moon).  I like to pretend that all the fuss, like parties and such, are all just for my birthday.
Holly hosted the party this year.
Nate's present to me was 24 hour stay at a hotel, WITH NO CHILDREN!!  It was so wonderful.  I walked around the mall for hours and did have to hold anyone, listen to whining, or wipe any boogers.  One of the best birthday presents ever.

View from my room
While I was away, Nate got out his old legos.
Eli watched while the others built.
Thank you to all my family and friends for remembering me on my b-day.  From the words of my sister Amy, "Dont worry, 30 is not so bad."

Beau Turns Two.

Stats:
weight- 26 lbs 3 oz (30%)
height-34.5 in (5%)

To celebrate Beau's birthday we went to the local Veterans Day parade.  Luckily for us it was a pretty warm day with lots of sunshine.  We invited ours friends to come to, so this could double as his birthday party.
You have got to love the firetrucks, police cars and motorcycles that were there.
The kids loved waving the flag and collecting candy.
Can you see how many pieces of candy he is holding?  He had a death grip on them.  The sucker in his mouth had the wrapper on it still, because he wouldn't take it out long enough for me to remove it for him.
From L to R: Matthew, Cole and William Knapp, William Frost, Sophie and Sonya Johnson, Maya Knackstedt, Landon and Allana Frost, Micah, Wyatt Johnson, Jacob Curtis, Nathan Frost, Matthew, Emily and Megan Curtis. Not pictured: Chloe and Aiden Knackstedt, Eli and Max Johnson

There were a lot of kids there, and we attracted a lot of attention. We sang to Beau and enjoyed these delicious cupcakes.
After the parade, we took a tour of the Nina and the Pinta.
We also celebrated Beaus b-day at home, where he was able to open his gifts.

WVU Football

One of the good things about WVU not having a great season, is people dont want to use their tickets to cold snowy games.  We swipped their tickets and drove up to the November 3rd game against TCU. We lost in double overitme.
