Monday Night Football

Nate has been talking about going to Monday Night Football for years now. We were unsuccessful in getting tickets two years ago, and Nate wasnt about to let the opotunity pass by again. We even bought tee-shits.

The Cardinals won by stopping the 49ers on the two yard line. It was very exciting. As we were leaving Nate said, "that was a great birthday present." I said back, "but your b-day isn't until January." He replied, "not mine, yours." So I guess it was an early birthday present to me.

End of October

A few weekends ago Nate presented his research at the AOA convention in Las Vegas.

While there we went to the wax museum. It was kind of creepy how realistic the figures looked. You would be staring at their faces, just waiting for them to blink or talk to you.

We also had a fun Halloween. We just had a small "get together" with some of our friends. Not everyone dressed up, but those who did had great costumes. Nate and I went as Hugh Hefner and a pregnant "bunny". I have never done a couples costume before. I loved it. I already have ideas for next year.

Awards Night

Nate received a scholarship from Midwestern in September. They had a big awards night where he was presented with a plaque and got recognized for his efforts. I didn't think it was going to be a big deal, but when I got there I found out that I was wrong. It was way fancy. Luckily I got a maternity dress from one of my friends (thanks Tessa), so I didn't show up under dressed. There was dancing, music, a silent auction (where the starting bids were more then a months salary), the mayor was there, and many more local "who's who's".

The Catch Up

Nate has also been enjoying his rotations (some more then others). He spent a month in Sierra , Vista for his rural rotation. The first weekend he was there Pat (Nate's friend from SLC), Christian (Pats friend from Mesa) and I all traveled there to visit him and get out of Phoenix. we went to Katchners Caverns, Tombstone, and Bisbee. Nate was only sad when we did a whole months worth of adventures in one day. Luckily he came home the other weekends so he wasn't too bored.

This is a mine in Bisbee. It was cold and dark in there. I cant imagine having that be my working environment.
