1st day of school

Micah started preschool this year.  I am excited for him.  He goes 3 days a week from 9-12.

Here is Micah with one of his friends, Landon.  We are carpooling with him this year.
Beau cried when Micah and Landon left (and has cried every time since). I'm sure he'll get used to the idea, but until then, its been rough for him.
Beau and I ran errands and went out to lunch to celebrate the first day.  We met friends there and us moms shouted for joy.
At the end of the day, both Micah and Landon had a great time.  Micah loves school.  He tells me that they just get to play all day.  His favorite things to play with are the vacuum and broom.  He also loves to paint and play on the play ground.

Columbus Zoo

During the first part of September, we took advantage of a free hotel room in Columbus.  The car ride there was full of tears, courtesy of Eli, but we made it safely.  On Saturday, we went to the Columbus Zoo. The boys love animals.  the highlights for them were the polar bears, gorillas, alligators and the lion.
Micah's lion roar.
All the boys were really good troopers.  Micah and Beau walked all day long with no complaining, even baby seemed happy to be there.

End of Summer

Summer is coming to end.  we wanted to enjoy as much of it as we could.  we took trips up to Kanawaha State Forest....
Played tennis at the park.....
Played on the swings.....
Went boating with some friends.....
Went swimming.....
Played in our backyard.....
And went to baseball games.......
The end of summer also brought grandma and grandpa Hale.

Fall Running

On August 8th, I pushed Micah and Beau on a 1/4 Marathon, 6.55 miles.  I did this run as a fund raiser for one of the young women in my ward's cross country team.  My goal was to be the first person with a stroller to finish, but ended up being the second by 30 seconds or so.  I just couldn't run any faster.  I felt really good though, since I was pushing a double and Eli is only 7 weeks old.  My time was 1:15:13.
On September 1st, Nate ran the Charleston Distance Run.  It is a 15 mile race through Charleston and up some pretty big hills.  We all cheered loudly for him and I am really proud that he finished with out puking.
