Baby Annoucement

Alex Heywood took these pictures for me.  She did a wonderful job.  Its amazing to see how skinny Eli looks.  The nurses joke with me that he is all eyes and legs.  Hopefully he'll fill out soon enough.

4th Of July

Our 4th of July was pretty low key this year.  Nate's mom and sister left this morning.  There were no parades close by, but we did get to go to a BBQ with our friends.

That night we enjoyed the fireworks at the baseball game.

Meanwhile....

While baby and I were at the hospital or home sleeping, The others went on quite a few adventures.

They also went to the pet store, WV museum, and the Clay Center.  It was great having aunt and grandma here to keep the boys entertained.  It helped me out soo much.

Saturday June 23rd at 2:45 pm

Saturday morning started off like every Saturday for the last few weeks.  I got up and planned to go for a walk.  I didn't get very far when my contractions started.  Around noon the contractions had gotten stronger.  We called my doctor and he said that I could come in right now and not wait. 

 I called up some friends and arranged for people to watch Micah and Beau and we arrived to the hospital around 1:00.  Everything went really quickly from there.  The nurses were ready for me, the anesthesiologist was ready, and the OR was ready. It was interesting to sit on the operating table and watch the nurses count the instruments and watch the doctors do their final preparations.

 Baby was born at 2:45 through a c-section.  The first thing I thought when I saw him was that he looked exactly like Beau.  He had a great cry and a really nice color. 

 

On Sunday we had our first visitors.
